2025: The Old Painter at 86


Full days of painting like a young colt of a painter….yet, slower, methodical, measured… as befits this advanced age.

So many lived in themes to keep exploring, as well as taunting tangents to explore anew. Endless. For practical reasons, I am working smaller canvases, an adjustment that fits perfectly with my new play with the ever-interesting human face.

Painting is every bit as much a mystery and adventure as it was when I was but a dashing and daring young painter. Some good things endure.
